Product Description

Grade 7 Titanium Bar 3.7235 UNS R52400 in HCl and H2SO4 for Marine Equipment

Grade 7 titanium bar is an alloy that contains Titanium with a palladium (Pd) content ranging from 0.12 to 0.25 percent. The material has a high density of 4.52 grams per cubic centimeter. It has a melting temperature of approximately 1665 degrees Celsius, with a tolerance of plus or minus 5 degrees Celsius. This grade of titanium bar is particularly suitable for applications involving corrosive environments such as hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) solutions.

Product Introduction

The Grade 7 titanium round bar, identified by the UNS designation R52400 and the European numerical designation, is a titanium alloy that contains 0.2% palladium. This addition of palladium enhances its resistance to corrosion compared to commercially pure titanium, earning it the name Ti-Pd alloy bar. The alloy maintains good weldability and is adaptable for various applications, such as chemical processing and marine equipment.

Equivalent to Grade 2 titanium, the Grade 7 Titanium Bar (UNS R52400) possesses similar mechanical properties. The inclusion of palladium significantly improves its corrosion resistance, especially enhancing its ability to withstand crevice corrosion at low temperatures and high pH levels. This makes it particularly suitable for environments where increased protection against corrosive elements is crucial.
