Product Description

Introduction

Titanium anodes are advanced electrochemical materials designed for a wide range of industrial applications. They are available in multiple forms, including cylindrical anodes, rod anodes, wire anodes, mesh anodes, and plate anodes, as well as other sacrificial and coated variants such as magnesium, aluminium, zinc, high-silicon cast iron, platinum-coated, and lead dioxide electrodes.

Our titanium and mixed metal oxide (MMO) anodes are widely used in industries such as chlor-alkali, chlorate and perchlorate production, electrolytic extraction of non-ferrous metals, electroplating, electrodeposition, ionised water generation, and wastewater treatment.

Applications of the Titanium Anode

  • Hydrogen and oxygen electrolysis

  • Water electrolysis machines

  • Industrial wastewater treatment

  • Electrodialysis seawater desalination

  • Sodium hypochlorite generation (e.g., swimming pool systems)

  • Electrolytic chlorine dioxide production

  • Electrolytic production of precious metals

  • Copper foil production

  • Electroplating processes

  • Cathodic protection in seawater environments

  • MMO deep well anodes for cathodic protection

  • Chlorine production by brine electrolysis

  • Treatment of ammonia nitrogen wastewater by electrolysis

Product Types

  • Ruthenium–Iridium Coated Titanium Anode (Ru-Ir)
Used for applications requiring excellent chlorine evolution and durability.

  • Platinum-Coated Titanium Anode (Pt)
Provides superior corrosion resistance and high current efficiency.

  • Ruthenium–Iridium Mesh Anode (Left in photo)

  • Platinum-Coated Mesh Anode (Right in photo)

Advantages of the Titanium Anode

  1. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Titanium anodes possess exceptional corrosion resistance, especially against wet chlorine and environments containing chloride ions—conditions under which stainless steel would rapidly pit and fail.

  2. High Current Efficiency
The addition of platinum-group precious metals (such as ruthenium, iridium, and platinum) enhances electrical conductivity and electrocatalytic performance, offering high current efficiency and long service life.

  3. Stable Electrolytic Performance
Our electrolytic cells equipped with Ru–Ir and Pt-coated titanium electrodes are widely used in household and industrial electrolysed water systems. They deliver stable electrolysis performance, low energy consumption, long operational life, and cost-effective operation.

  4. Excellent Electrical Conductivity
Titanium anodes provide efficient current transfer, ensuring stable and consistent electrochemical reactions.

  5. Environmentally Friendly
Titanium anodes are non-toxic and do not produce harmful by-products during operation, making them safe for environmental and water treatment applications.

  6. Cost-Effective and Durable
With low maintenance needs and long service life, titanium anodes offer significant cost savings over time.
