Titanium tubes can be easily fabricated, welded, and formed for various industrial uses.
There are currently 38 titanium grades approved under ASME B338 and ASTM B338, including Grades 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 11, 12, 16, 17, 26 (TiRU-26TM), and 27 (TiRU-27TM).
Among these, Grade 2 titanium is the most commonly used, especially for power plant surface condensers.
Typical titanium alloys used for tubing include Ti-3Al-2.5V and Ti-6Al-4V.
