Product Introduction
Grade 2 titanium tube is a commonly used grade in the chemical industry. The ASTM B861 standard specification outlines the requirements for Grade 2 titanium tube and other titanium alloys, encompassing a total of 34 grades of titanium and titanium alloy seamless pipes intended for general corrosion resistance and high-temperature service. Seamless and welded pure titanium pipes, ranging from 0.405" (10.29mm) to 36" (914mm), are available in stock in pre-cut lengths and full lengths.
Titanium is a metal with high ductility and malleability, allowing us, as one of China's titanium tube factories, to produce components in various shapes, including round, oval, and even square pipes. The products produced according to the ASTM B861 specification are designed to perform well in applications where general corrosion resistance and strength at elevated temperatures are primary requirements.

Titanium Tube Test Measures
Bending Test
According to ASTM B861, titanium tubes with a nominal diameter of 2 in. (51 mm) and under should be able to be bent cold through 90° around a cylindrical mandrel that is twelve times the nominal diameter of the pipe without developing cracks.
Hydrostatic Test
The maximum hydrostatic test pressure must not exceed 2500 psi (17.2 MPa) for tube sizes 3 in. (76 mm) and under, or 2800 psi (19.3 MPa) for sizes above 3 in. (76 mm). The hydrostatic pressure must be maintained for no less than 5 seconds. When requested by the purchaser and stated in the order, Grade 2 titanium tubes with diameters of 14 in. (356 mm) and smaller should be tested at one and a half times the specified working pressure, provided that the fiber stress corresponding to these test pressures does not exceed half of the minimum specified yield strength of the titanium tube, as determined by the equation given in 16.1. If one and a half times the working pressure exceeds 2800 psi (19.3 MPa), the hydrostatic test pressure should be agreed upon between the manufacturer and the purchaser.
