Product Description

GR1 GR2 GR7 GR9 Titanium Tube ASTM B 338 dia 9.53 to 38.1 mm for Chemical Processing

What Is Titanium Pipe?

We are a manufacturer capable of providing two main types of titanium piping—seamless and welded.

Titanium pipes originate from titanium ingots and are meticulously transformed into the appropriate dimensions through a series of processes including multiple rolling, annealing, pickling, and grinding techniques. The seamless titanium pipes are produced from hollow billets utilizing any cold reduction or cold drawing process that yields a product meeting the specified requirements.

The manufacturing of welded titanium pipes begins with selecting a suitable thickness of high-quality cold-rolled titanium plate. After going through the processes of flattening, cutting, and cleaning, the plate is then rolled into a tubular shape and welded using fully automatic welding equipment. Our advanced welding technology ensures the quality of the welds, contributing to the production of high-quality pipes. The welded tube is created from flat-rolled products by means of an automated arc-welding process. It undergoes sufficient cold working to achieve the final size, which is crucial for transforming the cast weld microstructure into a characteristic equiaxed microstructure in the weld area following any subsequent heat treatment.

Application

Titanium pipes are utilized across a broad spectrum of industries, thanks to their distinctive properties such as high tensile strength, impressive corrosion resistance, and low density. Here are some typical applications:

1. Chemical Processing: Titanium pipes are extensively used in the chemical sector due to their outstanding resistance to various corrosive agents, including acids, alkalis, and salts. They play an important role in the production of chemicals like chloralkali, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid.

2. Oil and Gas Industry: The oil and gas industry employs titanium pipes for their ability to withstand high levels of corrosion and erosion that can occur in high-pressure and high-temperature environments. They are integral in pipelines, downhole tubing, and other mission-critical applications.

3. Aerospace and Aviation: The aerospace and aviation fields rely on titanium pipes because of their favorable strength-to-weight ratio and exceptional corrosion resistance. These pipes are incorporated into aircraft components such as engine parts, hydraulic systems, and airframes.

4. Power Generation: Titanium pipes are also employed in power generation due to their ability to resist corrosion and erosion from high-temperature and high-pressure steam environments. In power plants, they are used in the production of steam, particularly in heat exchangers and condensers.

In summary, titanium pipes have a wide range of applications across numerous industries, attributable to their superior mechanical properties and exceptional resistance to corrosion.
