The EN 1092-1 Type 32 Titanium Loose Plate Flange is designed to be used in conjunction with the EN 1092-1 Type 02 loose plate flange.
In this configuration, the Type 32 titanium flange serves as a backing ring that holds the Type 32 weld-on plate collar securely in place.

During assembly, the pipe slides through the Type 02 flange until it reaches the end of the Type 32 plate collar.
Two fillet welds are applied at the designated positions to ensure that only the plate collar is in contact with the conveyed fluid, thereby preventing corrosion or contamination of other flange parts.

A flat gasket or spiral wound gasket is placed between the Type 32 plate collar and the raised face of the mating Type 01 flange to ensure a tight, leak-free seal.
The gasket contact surface of the plate collar is finished by a turning process, achieving a surface roughness of:

 

Ra: 3.2 μm ≤ Ra ≤ 12.5 μm

Rz: 12.5 μm ≤ Rz ≤ 50.0 μm

 

The EN 1092-1 Type 32 Titanium Weld-on Plate Collar features a weld-on neck with a radius of r = 3 mm, and it is suitable for use with EN 1092-1 Type 04 and Type 05 loose plate flanges.

Titanium loose plate flanges are available in pressure classes PN16 and PN40, with nominal diameters (DN) ranging from DN15 to DN1000.
