ASTM B863 Titanium Alloy Wire Rod Gr5 TC4 Ti 6al4v 0.05 to 5mm For Seawater
Product: Titanium wire *Grade: Titanium Grade 2 *Diameter: 0.05-5mm dia *Purpose: making titanium bolts
Titanium wire, known for its exceptional toughness, low density, and lightweight properties, exhibits superior performance. It boasts extraordinary resistance to extreme acidic and alkaline conditions, corrosion, and fatigue. This wire is particularly suited for environments such as seawater, wet chlorine, chlorite, and hypochlorous acid, where it does not corrode. Furthermore, it maintains its integrity in salt solutions, nitric acid, chromic acid, metal chlorides, sulfur, and organic acids.
The titanium wire possesses impressive thermal stability with a high melting point of 1668°C and a boiling point of 3535°C. Additionally, it withstands low temperatures down to -196°C to 253°C, retaining its ductility and toughness without becoming brittle, which is a common issue with other metals at cold temperatures.
Titanium wire is available in various forms: it can be coiled on a spool, cut to the length required for Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) rods, or provided in full bar length. These "Ti" wires find frequent use in chemical processing and anodizing applications, where components are suspended or secured using the titanium gr2 wire. For TIG welding, "Ti" wire is typically cut to 36-inch lengths and is available in standard welding rod sizes.
In stock, we have titanium wire that complies with ASTM B863 standard, with options across several grades:
- Grades: Gr1, Gr2, Gr5, Gr12
- Diameters: Ranging from 0.05mm to 5mm
- Shapes: Available as coiled or straight
- Purpose: Ideal for manufacturing titanium bolts and other titanium material components
- Special surface treatment: Can be subjected to pickling treatment upon request
- Quantity: We welcome orders for testing quantities of 5kg, 10kg, or 30kg. For larger requirements, we can supply up to 100kg per coil without any welding points.
This comprehensive offering ensures that customers can select the precise titanium wire needed for their specific applications, benefiting from its unique combination of properties.

Application
1. Titanium grade 2 (Gr2) wire is renowned for its exceptional resistance to corrosion, making it a favored material across various sectors such as chemical, pharmaceutical, and paper industries. Its application extends to being woven into meshes for diverse filtration needs including seawater filters, pure water filters, and chemical filters, among others.
2. The versatility of Gr2 titanium wires is further demonstrated in the manufacturing of fasteners, load-bearing components, and springs due to their outstanding overall performance characteristics.
3. In the healthcare sector, the biocompatibility of titanium wires is critical. They are utilized in the creation of medical devices that are implanted into the human body, such as dental crowns and cranial fixation devices, ensuring they are both safe and effective within the biological environment.
4. Certain titanium alloy wires, like those made from titanium-nickel alloys, possess shape memory capabilities. These are utilized in a variety of applications including the construction of satellite antennas, clothing accessories like shoulder pads, women's lingerie, and even the frames of eyeglasses.
5. The fields of electroplating and water treatment employ titanium and its alloy wires for the production of various electrodes. With the ongoing development of the national economy, the demand for these wires continues to rise. Currently experiencing a supply shortage, there is significant potential for further development and application of titanium and its alloy wires in the future.
